This was the hit of the trade show this year and one of my new favorites. If you like the Captain...you will have to try this hand crafted gem. This spiced rum comes in a cool looking dark bottle with a bit a pirate feel to it. The rum is spiced with delicious, rich and intense flavors. You MUST try this one. If you were at the store on Saturday night and were lucky enough to do so, you will know what I mean. We sold out of all the Kilo Kai we had on hand.

Good morning! My name is Kevin and I work for Kilo Kai. We're so glad that you like the rum. I wanted to pass along a holiday recipe we received from another fan in Michigan for a Kilo Kai "Hot & Spicy" Buttered Rum. Nothing tastes better after being out in the winter’s cold than a Hot Buttered Rum. This version of the traditional recipe comes to us from a Kilo Kai fan at ProductWhore.net, a Michigan-based blogger who knows her Hot Buttered Rum. She makes and freezes a big batch of the batter to help her get through the cold winters in Michigan. “Make the big batch and give some away to friends,” she urges. We’ve offered a smaller version below for those with limited freezer space. Hot Buttered Rum Batter (Party Sized) 1 pound (four sticks) butter 1 pound (2 1/2 cups) brown sugar 1 pound (3 1/2 cups) confectioners' sugar 1 quart (4 cups) vanilla ice cream, softened 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg Directions 1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Blend in brown sugar and confectioners' sugar. Remove from heat, and whisk in the ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour mixture into a plastic container, seal, and freeze. 2. In a coffee mug, measure 1 tablespoon (or more. it's really tasty) Hot Buttered Rum Batter and 1 fluid ounce of Kilo Kai, then fill cup with boiling water. Stir and sprinkle top of drink with nutmeg. Recipe can be divided. Hot Buttered Rum Batter (Long, Cold Weekend Version) One Stick butter 2/3 cup Brown Sugar 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Confectioners' Sugar 1 cup vanilla ice cream, softened 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
